Wedding at The Old Mill

I had the pleasure of working with C & T to provide the flowers for their wedding in May 2023.

They got married in a Church in a small village outside of Camborne, Cornwall with the reception taking place at the grooms parents house which had been completely renovated from an old mill and was simply beautiful.

The reception took place in the court yard of the house, under a canvas tipi with trestle tables to seat all of the guests.

The brief from the bride was burnt oranges, whites and greenery and we arranged that once the ceremony was complete that I would move the flowers to the Mill to make the most of the arrangements.

The church pews were decorated with vases of flowers, which were then used as table centres for the trestle tables for the guests. The top table was dressed with a floral garland that was put together with Eucalyptus and various flowers to match the other arrangements.

I placed two milk churns outside of the entrance to the church, which were also moved and placed at the mill to add further decoration to the court yard.

Whilst the arrangements for the decoration contained the burnt orange coloured flowers, the bouquets for the bride and the bridesmaids contained only white coloured flowers. We added a silk ribbon in a burnt orange colour to connect the bouquets to the floral decoration.

The last section of decoration was adding a sprig of Eucalyptus to each of the place settings for the bride, groom and all of their guests. This provided a lovely natural form of decoration and added a beautiful smell to the tables.

The bride had the vision for the table set up and she did a fantastic job pulling this blank canvas together. The table decoration, including the goblet glasses and the plate decor came from Keeping It Vintage in Cornwall. https://keepingitvintage.co.uk

It was a beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue and I was very honoured to be apart of making their day special.
